The Nyngan Preschool was decorated pink as they hosted their annual Pink Ribbon morning tea on Thursday morning.

Children, staff and members of the community came together raising over $500 for the Pink Ribbon appeal, which raises awareness of breast cancer, as well as funds for prevention programs, support services and research.

This is the second year the Preschool have hosted the fundraiser for breast cancer, which staff member and driver of the event Leah McCellend said is important and hits close to home for much of the community.

Members from the hospital, LiveBetter, the High School, Mackillop Family Services, and community members joined the students in the morning tea prepared by the Preschool staff.

Guests were then invited not only to enjoy a wander through the classrooms and new playground, but were treated to a performance of Mr Clickety Cane and Music Australia “One Song” by the preschool children.

The lucky raffle winner of the day was Margret Gudgeon.

The Preschool thanked the community for their support and coming along for the event.
