Mandy Richardson is in for a big surprise in Hollyoaks when, after feeling under the weather, she takes a pregnancy test and discovers that she is expecting Darren Osbornes baby. The only problem is that the daddy-to-be is, at the very same time, sharing a passionate kiss with his ex Nancy.
After Nancy collapses, Darren goes to check on her against Mandys wishes. One thing leads to another and they end up sharing a kiss but when Darren pulls back, an angry Nancy tells him that she faked the MS attack – but now she has ammunition to devastate his relationship with Mandy.
When he arrives home, Mandy shares the news that she is carrying his baby – but how will he react and will he come clean about what has just happened with Nancy?
Sarah Jayne Dunn, who plays Mandy, shared: Shes very shocked by the pregnancy as it comes as quite a surprise! Shes also a bit unsure about how Darren will react at first, and is not sure if the timing is right.

Theyve talked about having a baby together, but this wasnt planned for right now. I think shes worried hell freak out and not want the baby.
Of course, while Darren seems pleased by the news, its not set to go down well with Nancy as it serves as another nasty blow to her following the affair which destroyed her marriage.
Sarah sighed: Its actually Darren who tells Nancy about the pregnancy, and Mandy only finds out she knows later on. Understandably, shes a bit bitter to say the least. Mandy and Darren are strong at the moment but theyre having trouble dealing with all the other factors in their life. They really want to be together and have been through a lot to get there.
But that isnt the only problem Mandy is facing as she soon gets a blast from the past.
Sarah added: Luke comes into her life again and she has to come to terms with her new situation, along with some unexpected problems…
