Carla Connor and Peter Barlow look set to be spending a lot of time together this Christmas as Alison King and Chris Gascoyne have been filming scenes on location that are likely to air towards the end of the year.
The cast and crew braved the biting Manchester cold to create scenes near to a snooker hall – which appears to confirm that Peter will go ahead with his idea of investing in the new business. But given that he has sold his shares in the factory, what is Carla doing there with him? Could this imply that the Christmas hopes of Carter fans are set to come true?
Many viewers have long been pining for the much loved characters to get back together and the actors themselves have said on many occasions that the pair will always harbour feelings for one another and always be closely linked – even if being together always tends to bring them angst.

In upcoming scenes, Carla will confide in Johnny that she still has feelings for Peter after she catches him trying to sell his shares to Underworlds biggest rival. But she then has a bigger shock in store when she learns that Nick Tilsley is her new business partner.
That said, Peter soon learns from Johnny that Carla may have been hoping for a reunion so he confronts her over how he feels. Its no secret that he reciprocates – so could this be the first step to them reuniting?
It remains to be seen what Peter and Carla are doing together at the snooker hall – is she there to support his new venture?
