Bohemian Rhapsody centres around one huge, iconic moment in music history – when Queen came together and performed at Live Aid in 1985.
Its the key moment of the movie, when the band give the performance of their lives, and the plot hinges on the build up to that moment at Wembley Stadium.
Turns out though, that whole moment was filmed on the very first day of the movies production. There was no build up for the actors, they were thrown straight in.
Youre not going to believe this, star Rami Malek, who plays Freddie Mercury, told Jimmy Fallon. But one of the greatest rock performances in history, its considered maybe the greatest, for some reason our producers thought it would be a good idea to start with that on day one.
That was the first day man. About halfway into the day, I thought trial by fire, baptism of fire.
Rami had a theory – he was being made to film this big moment on the first day in case it all went disastrously wrong.

But I thought they must have a reason for doing this, he said. Because you know, if halfway through we get through this and we suck, theyll just pull the plug on the whole production, pack it up, and go home, save $60 million and we dont have to watch this B-rate version of Queen for three months.
When I got the call sheet for day 2 it was like winning an Oscar.

Rami also recently divulged another film secret when he revealed the truth behind his vocals in the movie.
It seems pretty clear we hear Freddie Mercurys voice blasting out during Bohemian Rhapsody – he is so distinctive its hard not to hear – but it turns out its not only him singing the famous tracks.
In fact it all goes a bit deeper than that – what we hear is not just Freddie, and its not just star Rami Malek, its a complex mix.
Rami Malek does indeed also blast out the tunes, so its not all lip syncing, but surprisingly were also hearing another singer all together.
It is an amalgamation of a few voices, Rami told the Metro US. But predominantly it is my hope and the hope of everyone that we will hear as much Freddie as possible. I think that is the goal for all of us.

The other voice heard, according to The New York Times, is that of Canadian singer Marc Matel, blended to create one powerful voice with huge range.
