Hollyoaks spoilers: Stephanie Davis reveals how her return saved her and whats next for Sinead
Everything that has happened in Stephanie Davis life since she left Hollyoaks under a cloud has been well documented but the returning actress has revealed how she has found herself in a peaceful place now – and is full of gratitude to be filming as Sinead OConnor again.
Telling Metro.co.uk how her return came about, she explained: Im really happy to be back with all my friends in the cast and crew – its like going home so Im very grateful. The character is also fantastic – I never thought about her for ages but thats because I wasnt in a great place. But then one morning – and everything happens for a reason – I was thinking about her and I messaged Bryan (Kirkwood, producer) and asked about going back.

So I met him but he was already speaking to my agent and they both just said come back. It was really emotional as he knows the journey I have been through and the struggle – he has known me for a long time. We were both overjoyed.
I feel an overwhelming gratitude to be back and watching those return scenes made me cry tears of happiness. But shes back! The entrance is back – its very cleverly done. There are a few Dorothy references in there, its brill and its like starting afresh again.
And theres a lot for Steph to get her teeth into as Sinead has some major storlyines coming her way. Teasing whats ahead, Steph added: She gets with Sami in the car in like scene two but she has a reason for doing that! Shes married to Laurie – some things dont change. he comes back in the show with Hannah and catches Sinead up to something and it all unravels from there.
She also has scenes coming up with Sienna. I cant say too much but our storylines will come together and then explode! I havent worked with Anna Passey much before but Ive had a few since Ive been back and its been good!
Hit play on our exclusive video where Steph talks about how she is feeling now, how she is getting on with the cast and how Ste will react to Sineads comeback.
