Wonder Woman fans will have to wait a further seven months to see the films first sequel.
The eagerly anticipated follow-up to the 2017 movie – entitled Wonder Woman 1984 – was due to arrive in cinemas in November 2019.
However, actress Gal Gadot confirmed on Monday that it would now be delayed until June 2020.

Gadot shared her excitement that the date, right in the heart of summer blockbuster season, was a rightful home for the female-led film.
She tweeted: Super excited to announce that, thanks to the changing landscape, we are able to put Wonder Woman back to its rightful home. June 5, 2020.

The film will also star Kristen Wiig as villain The Cheetah and Chris Pine will return to play Steve Trevor, while Pedro Pascal will join the cast in an undisclosed role.
Monster director Patty Jenkins is returning to direct the second film and said the new opening date felt like home.

The first film was released in the same June weekend in 2017 and took home $821 million worldwide.
The release date has taken the shine off Mark Wahlbergs The Six Billion Dollar Man, which was due out the previous weekend in May 2020 and has now been entirely pulled from the schedule.
Wonder Woman 1984 is set to shift time periods from World War I to the mid-Eighties, in the heart of the Cold War era.
However the leap forward has left some fans wondering the late Steve Trevor can return, following his demise in the first film.
