Up to $250,000 available for South West projects

If you have a job-creating, economy-boosting project that would benefit from a financial helping hand, now is the time to apply to the South West Development Commission for funding.

Applications for the first round of the State Governments Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants are open until 5pm on Friday November 2 2018.

Up to $250,000 is available for individual projects from a funding pool of $700,000 in the South West to support initiatives that spark jobs creation and produce positive economic outcomes.

SWDC acting chief executive officer Rebecca Ball encouraged local governments, training institutions, not-for-profit organisations and registered businesses to put themselves in the running to receive financial assistance.

“This is about the State Government working together with the community to create opportunities for South West residents by backing local projects,” Ms Ball said.

“The program supports projects that promote sustainable jobs, partnerships, productivity, skills and capability, as well as stimulate new investment and industry diversification.

“If you have any questions about completing the online application form or arent sure whether your project is eligible for funding through this program, we encourage you to get in contact with our team − we are happy to help.”
