Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine gives update after filming Fiz exit scenes

On screen, Fiz Stapes main concern is trying to keep her cool while living under the same roof as Tyrone Dobbs troublesome grandmother Evelyn Plummer. But in real life, Jennie McAlpines family life is much more harmonious as she is looking forward to bringing another baby into the fold.

The pregnant actress, who recently filmed her exit scenes as Fiz which will see the character have quite enough of Evelyns meddling, enjoyed a day out at a pumpkin farm ahead of Halloween.

And as she shared a smiling snap with her followers on Instagram, she joked that she resembled the pumpkins surrounding her.

Jennie recently filmed her last scenes for some time on Coronation Street and marked the occasion by celebrating no longer having to hide her baby bump behind cars while filming. She said on her Instagram page: Mine and bumps last day on the @coronationstreet cobbles for a while. No more hiding behind Ford Fiestas!

It has already been confirmed that Evelyn will have a hand in Fizs exit storyline – but what about Fizs marriage to Tyrone? Is she just taking some time away from a household filled with tension or is this curtains for the couple?

Maureen Lipman, who plays Evelyn, recently said: Fiz doesnt stand a chance. Evelyn has a grudging liking for Tyrone, and she thinks Fiz is boring. She sets out to drive her away by being critical and ungracious, and generally driving a wedge between them.

Her last scenes are expected to air in December although Jennie plans to return to the role after her leave. Jennie currently has a three-year-old son named Albert and announced earlier this year on social media that he was going to be a big brother.
