Aaron Taylor-Johnson appeared to say goodbye to his Marvel character Quicksilver when he shared a farewell tweet after Avengers 4 had officially wrapped up.

And even though hed teased fans that the much loved hero would meet his maker, the actor then backtracked on his words at the ACE Comic Con.

Chatting on the panel, he insisted that his comment was not a spoiler and reassured his followers that no matter how Quicksilvers story finishes at the end of the movie, he would have written the exact same words.

Leaving his fans theories up in the air as to what will happen with the superhero, the 28-year-old has now just gone and thrown another spanner in the works by saying hed be up for bringing back his character.

He added: But theres nothing I can share.

Nothing he can share? Sounds like theres already something in the works to bring back Quicksilver – which would mean he mustnt die at the end of the next Avengers hit.

After finishing his stint on Avengers 4, Aaron tweeted: Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least.

Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.

When fans started to hit back asking if his character had been killed, he then decided to put rumours to bed while talking on a Comic Con panel.

He told his fans: I should clarify that I know I did tweet something that made a lot of people think that it was in some way a spoiler.

I should clarify that regardless of how Avengers 4 ends, I would have tweeted the exact same thing.

And even though it now sounds like he is working on something new for Quicksilver, the Kick-Ass star recently assured Metro.co.uk that nothing was happening in regards to a new story.

Just last week, he told us: Its not a conversation right now.

It seems as though Aaron is playing a number of games with his fans, leaving us with absolutely no idea what is going to happen to Quicksilver.
