EastEnders spoilers: Martin Fowlers statement to the police destroys Ruby Allens rape case?

(Picture: BBC)

Martin Fowler has given a drastically different account of the night that Ruby Allen was raped compared to his wife Stacey in EastEnders – and it could lead to the police dismissing the case building against her attackers Ross and Matt.

On Staceys encouragement, Ruby reported the rape to the police and Stacey and Martin have now been questioned. While Stacey explained that Ruby was shy, Martin described her as the opposite and pointed out that she was outgoing, having a laugh and flirting with the men.

And while Stacey made the point in her interview that that didnt mean that Ruby wanted to sleep with both men, it was clear that the police had doubts in their mind. And Martin then took the decision to highlight the photograph that showed Ruby sharing a kiss with Ross during the party.

He felt guilty afterwards as Stacey voiced her hopes that Ross and Matt would now be arrested and charged but he didnt tell Stacey about what he said in his interview. But when Ruby then invites Martin for a drink to thank him and Stacey for all of their support, will he crack and reveal that he doesnt believe Ruby in the same way that Stacey does?
