Emmerdale spoilers: Jeff Hordley reveals huge showdown for Cain Dingle and Graham Foster over Joe Tates death

Cain Dingle is in a dark place right now as he is of the mindset that he killed Joe Tate when he punched him in the face and caused him to hit his head on a rock in Emmerdale. But little does he know that Joes fingers twitched as Graham Foster was disposing of the body at the viaduct.

After Graham had ditched the corpse, he broke down in tears of despair and it was heavily hinted that he had been forced to finish him off. But he seems happy to let Cain think that he murdered Joe as the pair are now connected by the darkest of secrets.

And with Cain understandably wary of trusting Graham, Jeff Hordley has warned us that there are explosive scenes ahead.

He explained: Its new territory for me so its been nice to play something different because the nature of staying in a soap, theres two great elements to it – one is that the longer you stay in it, its like an onion and theres so many layers to get to with the character, but then theres also stories that repeat but just with different people. But the great thing about this particular story for me is that, believe it or not hes never murdered anybody, so this is totally new ground.

I think theyre setting up Cain and Graham to circle on another. Theyre similar beasts really so I think that would be a great story. But who would come out of that one alive, I dont know. I think in the current dynamcic, Grahams very much got the upper hand so Cains on the back foot a lot and hes taking control of the situation, so its territory that Im not used to being in. He likes to be in control Cain, and hes really out of his depth here, so Graham has got the upper hand for sure.

And Jeff has warned that this could be the end of his character if Graham gets his way.

He added: I dont think anybody knows where thats going, as to whether Joe is alive or Joe is dead. Personally Id rather he didnt kill him because it would mean maybe that that might be the end of Cain because what happens in the land of soap is that people who kill always get their comeuppance, so it could be the end of my character as we speak.
