Kim Tate is set to be joined by her long lost son James when she returns to Emmerdale next year – and he is bound to bring huge trouble to Home Farm as Kim is released from prison. Before she was arrested and sent back down, Kim ordered Graham Foster to track James down and bring him to her.
Kim hasnt seen James for some time. Viewers last saw him as a child when Kim took him on board a helicopter in which she escaped the village but somewhere along the line, they drifeted apart. But Kim wants him back in her life – especially now that Joe is dead.
Emmerdale all but confirmed that they were going to bring him in – its inevitable, right? And Claire King teased what we can expect.
She smiled: Shes obviously separated from her son James – who could be Franks or Daves, who knows – something went awry, did he go to school and not come back? They havent seen each other for a while.

Hes bound to be young, glamorous, gorgeous, theyre going to bring that kind of character in to replace Ned arent they? Hell be a good looking young boy. They havent spoken for a while so thats why shes asked Graham to try and find James.
There were very few people or things Kim genuinely loved – James was one, David was another, Seth and her horses. And that was about it. She had total disrespect for anybody else in the whole world, she didnt care.
Once Graham is successful in finding James, what might he bring to the village?
