Coronation Street fans have been left worried about the fate of Ryan Connor after he was run down in the road by sinister drug dealer Ronan. As Michelle keeps a vigil by his bedside and prays that he will recover, we caught up with actor Ryan Prescott to find out what lies ahead. And while he wasnt giving away whether Ryan lives or dies, perhaps you can grab some clues in what he says…

When asked how he would react if he knew Ali Neeson effectively killed Ronan, he said: If he gets to react to it – if he wakes up – it could go either way. He gets to the point where he is figuring Ali out where he was previously threatened by it. This would push him away from the thought of the character he could be – it could scare him. But at the same time he could be quite pleased! It could go either way!

Hes at that part of his life anyway where hes willing to invest in his family life – he wants something real instead of running away from the problems in the past. If he wakes up, it could be a make or break situation but hes the kind of guy who would try to make the best of things. He would take on what it would do to the family – but at the same time, he is always trying to look for why its not his fault.

Whatever happens, he loves playing the dynamic with James Burrows, who plays Ali. He enthused: I love playing that tension – James is an absolutely fantastic actor. As time goes on, we have had the opportunity to build that dynamic. We really push each other and find little nuances – its great. With them not even being brothers,m its nice to try and find the elements of a sibling rivalry.

Hit play on our exclusive video above where Ryan also talks about what it was like to film the stunt scenes, whether he worried that his alter ego was being killed off and what his experiences with fans are like.
