Coronation Street returnee Ben Price has spoken out about his big return to the show as Nick Tilsley – who comes back as a more hardened and darker character carrying some whopping great secrets. And as he is thrown into the mix with Carla, Leanne, Peter, Steve and of course, the Platts once again, there is big drama ahead.
Ben told Metro.co.uk: I think we can expect a lot of surprises – hes led a life while hes been away. A lot of things come up that you wouldnt expect. Hes not necessarily the same Nick we saw leave – hes maybe a bit wiser, a bit harder and a bit darker. It will be a really turbulent time, really rocky. Loads of arguments, ups and downs, a lot of hugs and a few kisses!
He also spoke about what the dybamic will be in Corries messiest love square. He mused: Leannes had some things go on, Carla has, Steve obviously has with the baby stuff – theres a lot of water under the bridge. They have to live with each other though, its a bit like a family.

With regards to who Nick should be with, I think it depends – they both have very different things for Nick. Leanne is his first love – they get each other. Carla has that exciting and very volatile side. Theyre both very different and thats what is different to play – Im very lucky. Each pairing brings different things.
And what about the family dynamic? The Platts have been through a lot. Ben sighed: He doesnt know what has happened with David – family means a lot to him so hed be devastated to know that he wasnt there. Hes that kind of brother – when he left, he switched himself off and turned it back but this will be very painful.
