Jacob Gallagher could be heading into a serious situation as he starts to develop a crush on his dad David Metcalfes girlfriend Maya Stepney in Emmerdale. But with headteacher Jessie Grant having to issue a warning about her conduct with Noah Tate, is she a risk to Jacob?
When Maya gives Noah a lift, Jessie is unsettled and has to remind Maya that its breaking school safeguarding rules. Later Jacob shoves Noah and Leanna stirs the trouble up by telling Jessie that they were fighting over Maya and this prompts Jessie to issue an official warning to the teacher for her conduct.
Meanwhile, with David and Mayas relationship on rocky ground, Leyla Harding convinces her how much David cares and the pair patch things up. Maya agrees to move back in and David is thrilled – but not as thrilled as Jacob who is developing feelings for her.
Leanna meanwhile is furious and as she angrily confronts Maya, she lashes back at the teenager and Jacob intervenes to try and restore peace. As Jacob stands up for Maya against Leanna, Maya later thanks him gratefully.

As Maya then snuggles up to David on the sofa, it hits home with Jacob that he has a crush on Maya. But how serious will this get? And with Mayas lapse in judgement over Noah, are these warning signs that she could be a risk to Jacob?
