So this is the Avengers 4 title Mark Ruffalo didnt want you to hear on Jimmy Fallon
He begged Jimmy Fallon to bleep out the Avengers 4 title he let slip on the show this week.
But a black bar and a slowed-down dub wasnt enough to save Mark Ruffalo this time, because one techy film fan has cracked what was really said on the show.
Thanks to a little audio wizardy – spectrogram editing, apparently – its been revealed that Ruffalo actually claimed the title was… The Last Avenger.
Behold, the full technical sequence below.
Film graduate Anton Volkov explained: This might not actually be the real #Avengers4 title BUT: put the audio from the Fallon/Ruffalo interview into Audition and tried removing the bleep using the spectrogram editor.
THE LAST AVENGER is what was said.
However, some Avengers diehards have had their doubts about the Fallon-Ruffalo skit, and just how genuine his spoiler was, given his track record.

In July 2017, Don Cheadle vented at Ruffalo for saying that everybody died at the end of Infinity War, ahead of its release.

Fans will know that some superheroes survived Thanos genocide, but the spoiler was a little too close to home for Cheadle.
Its perhaps why Ruffalo worried that he might be in trouble at the end of Fallon filming this week, and begged the show host to edit out his big giveaway.
I trust that you will cut my spoiler slip on the show tonight. he tweeted Fallon, afterwards. That was “off the record” homey. Please dont get me in trouble with Marvel (Barry) again.
Dude, its too late – already sent the final show to Burbank for air. Are you sure youre gonna be in trouble? We could maybe bleep it out. What is “DM”? https://t.co/GMds1hGO8X

The films directors, Anthony and Joe Russo simply replied: Youre fired.
During the show, Ruffalo – who plays Bruce Banner/Hulk in the franchise – even admitted that hes been put on lockdown for spoilers by Marvel.
I sort of, in the past, maybe have given up things, spoilers… hed said.
I basically spoiled the end of Avengers: Infinity War with Don Cheadle, who will no longer do press with me.
Ive been put under surveillance by Marvel. Theyve got a lot of reach in the world, and Ive learned my lesson.
However, after being pressed – not too hard, we might add – by Jimmy, Mark revealed the title of the final Avengers film.
We have our doubts.

So far, Endgame has been one of the most popular suggestions for the real final title.
There has also been a case made for Avengers: Annihilation, which would make sense, considering half the universe – and half of the Avengers – was annihilated after Thanos clicked his fingers.
