One day into the Tory party conference and its already a shambles – the 16 best comments so far

Our overwhelming memories of last years Conservative Party Conference revolve around Theresa Mays disastrous speech, involving a coughing fit and a prankster handing her a P45, followed by the letters falling off the wall live on camera, so its fair to say, expectations for this years event havent been particularly high.

Even before it started, the app created to serve conference attendees had revealed a huge data breach, allowing delegates personal details to be accessed by everybody. The speeches have started, attendance is poor and the Foreign Secretary has compared the EU to Soviet Russia, offending those countries badly affected by the Soviets and helped by the EU
