Tom Hardy is the plays the main character Eddie in the film which is set to begin a new shared universe created by Sony.
Eddie struggles against a new power called Venom that gives him superhuman strength, but the parasite also tries to get him to kill innocent people.
It is a movie that has been hinted at for many years, including plans it develop it back in 2008 after Spider-Man 3.

Who is in the cast?
Tom Hardy plays the lead role of Eddie Brock in the film who is a journalist that has an alter-ego – Venom.
He will be joined by Michelle Williams who plays Eddies girlfriend Anne Weying, as well as Riz Ahmed who plays inventor Carlton Drake.
The cast also includes Wood Harrelson, Jenny Slate, Marcella Bragio, Reid Scott, Michelle Lee, Mac Brandt, Christian Convery and Sam Medina.
