Emmerdale spoilers: Ash Palmisciano and Natalie J Robb reveal whats next after shock murder confession
Matty and Victoria Barton have been left floored by Moira Dingles revelation that she was the one who killed Emma in Emmerdale – and it is set to change several relationships forever. Can Victoria forgive Moira? Will Matty protect his mum? And is this it for Matty and Victorias chances of romance?
Things are certainly about to get complicated as Mattys loyalties are divided while Victoria feels betrayed about being kept in the dark about what happened to Adam. We recently caught up with Ash Palmisciano (Matty) and Natalie J Robb (Moira) to talk about where they all go from here.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Ash sighed: Victoria says that it changes everything with Matty and hes heartbroken by it all and doesnt know what to do, while Natalie agreed, saying: Moira and Victoria have always had a close relationship because shes been in the family for so long and now thats all broken down.
Moira is heartbroken because she didnt ever want to hurt Victoria. Theres always a few surprises in Moiras life, theres never a dull moment! I dont think Victoria will forgive Moira in a hurry, though.

However, while Matty doesnt want to lose Victoria, he hates the idea of his mum going down for this and so sets out to protect her, choosing not to shop her to the police. But this may not go down too well with Victoria.
Ash explained: When it came to it and the police were there, Matty had to choose between Moira and Victoria and he chose his mum because hes a true Barton. Hes got to stand by his mum because she stuck by him – hes like, this is the least I can do. Its a nice step in their relationship – its left him heartbroken though.
Im interested to see how that will play out. Matty has admitted he has feelings for Victoria but at the moment, Victoria wants nothing to do with him and she actually goes on to pursue other people. That might push Matty to make a statement, well see.
Fans are certainly invested in the relationship, whether they think it is loves young dream or a huge betrayal of Adam. And Ash admits to being fascinated by the changing landscapes of the viewer responses.
He mused: Its really interesting because at first, there was a lot of people saying that theyre childhood friends and its weird for them to get together. But I suppose in life that does happen sometimes, people are friends first and then a relationship develops.
But I think some fans are worried that it will ruin the friendship. Weirdly, in the last few weeks, more people have been up for them being together so it does change. Well have to see, like all romances, it wont run smoothly, itd be boring wouldnt it? So therell be a few heartaches first before anything happens.

One of the most ideal obstacles, despite Natalie chipping in to point out that it would mean both Adam and Moira being jailed, would be the return of Adam Thomas as the runaway Barton brother.
Grinning, Ash enthused: I personally would love it because Id love to work with him – also it would be nice to have a brother dynamic. Matty needs a role model so it would be nice to see that develop.
