Cowaramup Bulls prepare for summer of top cricket

The sun has finally come out and the Cowaramup Cricket Club is back for the 2018/19 season.

Numbers have been strong at training with all players keen to climb back to the top of the ladder and see a repeat of their break through A-grade premiership two seasons ago.

Crowd favourite Kaveen De Silva will return from Sri Lanka for his fourth season in the Busselton Margaret River Cricket Association, which is sure to cause some sleepless nights for bowlers around the competition.

Reigning House medalist and A Grade BMRCA Cricketer of the Year Fraser Oates returns to the fold again after a successful stint in England, playing for Percy Main Cricket Club.

Oates leads a host of younger players who will form the back bone of this years A grade side.

With a few more exciting recruits soon to be announced there are exciting times ahead at the bull ring for the upcoming season and the club is calling for new members to join the team for summer.

Fielding sides in A and C grade, the Bulls cater for players of all abilities and new players are always welcome.

Training is held on Thursday night at the Waverley Road nets in Cowaramup, and all gear can be supplied.

The Bulls facilities have long been the envy of the competition and they would love to see some new (or old!) faces down at the club this season.

Plus they are the only club in the competition with a club song!
