Between uncovering his sons abuse and realising his wifes been cheating on him with his best friend, Hollyoaks Luke Morgan has been through a lot recently. And now, as Gary Lucy takes a break from the show to tour with The Full Monty, its time for Luke to face the consequences of beating up Scott, the man he mistakenly believed to be Ollies abuser.
The day of Lukes trial was upon him, and he was preparing to take his son Ollie and run. He said his goodbyes to step-daughter Ella and wife Mandy, who has put their recent differences aside to support him, and believed he is going to the trial.
In her attempts to support her husband, Mandy made a visit to Scott Drinkwell, to beg him to reconsider defending Lukes behaviour in court. After much persuasion, he agreed. She headed home, feeling jubilant and ready to tell Luke.
Luke, after a confrontation with Brody Hudson, had taken Ollie and gone, but not to the airport as planned. Considering what Brody had pointed out to him, how integral Ollie is to bringing abuser Buster to justice, he instead made a detour – to the place he was assaulted.

Ollie, desperate to escape the unwanted attention, was convinced that running away was their only option. Luke, however, was beginning to see things clearly. He took his son and headed back to the trial, where he apologised to Mandy for all hes put her through.
Sentenced to two years in prison, Luke was led away in handcuffs, but not before he reassured Ollie that everything was going to be okay in emotional goodbye screens. Lots of things are still up in the air, and while hes in prison, Lukes marriage to Mandy still hangs in the balance, as does the certainty of justice for Ollie and Brody.
