It looks Ed Sheeran may have penned Westlifes comeback song
Westlife fans will be happy to learn that the Irish band have not only reunited but have also enlisted the help of Ed Sheeran for their epic comeback.
According to the Sun, Ed has secretly penned the comeback record to give Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Shane Filan and Mark Feehilythem a contemporary edge.
Westlife have really been pulling out all the stops for their big comeback and were desperate to get Ed on board, a source told the publication.
It took quite some time to pull together and has been done totally behind closed doors, but he has finally given them the right record to make it happen.
With five UK number ones under his belt, 27-year-old Ed knows a little about making a hit. He is the ideal guy to help Westlife, who previously teamed up with the likes of Mariah Carey, Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, to appeal to a younger audience.

The insider adds that having the Grammy winner on-board is a huge coup and they have already been working hard in the studio.
They think he will give them a contemporary edge for their reunion. They have already recorded the song and are delighted with the results. Theyre just pulling together the final promo details including a video before they unveil it. Its going to be huge.
Westlife went their separate ways in October 2011, as they had run out of steam and lost the love for what they are doing. Brian McFadden quit the group in 2004 following a number of disagreements with his bandmates.
During their 14 years together, Westlife dominated the charts and sold over 44 million of records worldwide.
Hits like Flying Without Wings, You Raise Me Up and World of Our Own earned them 26 UK Top 10 hits, 14 UK Number One Singles and seven chart-topping albums.

In 2012, the Official Charts Company declared Westlife the 34th biggest-selling singles artists in British music history.
Their manager Louis Walsh made in clear last year that the superstars never really closed the chapter on their career but simply took a hiatus.
Hinting at a possible reunion during an appearance on This Morning he said: Im sure its going to happen sometime, Id love it to happen, but we havent talked about it yet, but I want it to happen in a few years. Whenever theyre ready, I want them back together, theyre massive.
