Silva returns as Hawks put out the call for cricketers

All rounder Rumesh Silva has been confirmed for the Hawks 2018/19 cricket season.

The Margaret River Hawks Cricket Club is calling for all #futurehawks to come down to the Nest on Thursday, September 6, from 4.30pm.

With the new cricket season just six weeks away, the Hawks are recruiting to bolster their push towards premiership glory.

Last years Darcy Medallist, Rumesh Silva has been confirmed as the clubs overseas pro this year and will bring his class, enthusiasm and smile back to Gloucester Park.

Silva was one of the players who helped the club with their rebuilding of last season and is keen to take home some silverware to his native Sri Lanka this season.

With the return of some of the Hawks favourite sons planned for this year and some club legends going around again, a more settled team should be on the park each week. The massive influx of juniors coming through the ranks has given the entire club some real excitement on the short and long term future of the club.

The Hawks are the only club in the Busselton Margaret River Cricket Association able to host triple headers regularly and creates a great family atmosphere.

FIFO workers and families are also welcome as are newcomers to the Shire. With A, B and C grade teams nominated, the Hawks can cater for all abilities and can provide all equipment.
