This is your first look at the menacing and horrifying scenes in the Queen Vic next week in EastEnders as evil Stuart Highway strikes, leading to someone being shot – but who is in the firing line and will they die?
After a violent showdown with Mick Carter leaves Stuart battered and bruised – an outcome that the provocative villain wanted – he lets himself into the pub late at night and lies in wait, arming himself with a gun.

The Carters are unsettled over what he has planned and live in fear with Halfway persuading Whitney to stay the night. Meanwhile, Dylan is also staying after he became too scared to leave his statement with the police, having been threatened by Stuart.
Unable to sleep, Mick heads out with Lady Di for a walk – and its the opportunity that Stuart is waiting for. He makes his move and a showdown ensues before a shot rings out.

One character drops to the ground and faces a desperate fight for life, while the Square reels from the shocking events, with police keen to know who is responsible.
And before long, an arrest is made – but will they be up on a murder charge as a life threatens to slip away?
