Val Kilmer secretly battled throat cancer for two years, with the actor being seen in April wearing a neck brace.

But the 58-year-old looked healthy and happy as he attended lunch with his daughter.

Val was all smiles with 26-year-old Mercedes, with the pair hitting up famous Los Angeles chicken restaurant Zankou Chicken.

The Batman actor sported lightened blonde hair and wore a pink shirt and jean shirts – and appeared to be taking a leaf out of Kanye Wests book by wearing slippers.

Val recently took a break from the spotlight as he confirmed in April last year that he had a healing of cancer after previously denying he was suffering from the disease.

A Hollywood Reporter profile revealed that Kilmer had a two-year battle with throat cancer, while an operation on his trachea left him with a rasp.

However, Val is back in the fast lane, as hell be reprising his role as Tom Iceman Kazansky in Top Gun 2.

It has been confirmed that Val will be reuniting with Tom Cruise for the sequel to the 1986 classic, with Cruise reprising his role as Pete Maverick Mitchell.

Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a bit longer to see them feel the need, the need for speed, once more.

It has been confirmed that Top Gun 2s release has been delayed by a year, being released in summer 2020 rather than the planned date of July 2019.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Paramount Pictures moved the date back to allow production to put more work into the flight sequences, and want to keep the action sequel as a summer blockbuster.

The eagerly-anticipated sequel also stars Jon Hamm, Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris, Glen Powell and Lewis Pullman, while Miles Tller will play the son of Mavericks former partner Goose.
