Coronation Street is to tackle cervical cancer in a devastating new storyline that sees Sinead Tinker diagnosed with the horrific disease – leaving her torn over whether to accept treatment that could damage her pregnancy.
There was devastation for Sinead and her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne last year when Sinead terminated her pregnancy after a row with Ken Barlow, who insisted that a baby would ruin his sons academic future.
Since the couple got back on track, they have been looking to the future as they have got engaged, set up a new fashion business and are also looking forward to the arrival of their baby. But they will be hit by tragedy as Sinead is given a devastating diagnosis.

A source told Metro.co.uk: Sinead and Daniel have everything to look forward to but this diagnosis will shatter everything. Sinead will learn that she has cervical cancer and it will leave her with some impossible decisions to confront.
