Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has spoken out about the birth of her daughter Deliliah, revealing that while it was a much shorter labour than she had with Matilda, it was so painful at times that she felt she was going to explode.
The actress, who is currently on maternity leave from her role as ditzy Rosie Webster, gave birth to Delilah in June and it went so quickly that Helens fiance, footballer Scott Sinclair, almost missed the special moment!
Speaking in the most recent issue of OK! Magazine, Helen shared: Luckily, my labour went really well although it was much more painful than my first birth. At points I felt like I was about to explode because the contractions were so intense!
Its been a big year for Helen. After taking her break from Coronation Street in the midst of an eventful storyline, she then got engaged to Scott this summer before the arrival of Delilah. Helen and Scott are already parents to three-year-old Matilda and Helen is clearly excited for her future – but she added that there is no date yet in the calendar for a wedding.
She explained: We havent booked anything but were aiming for next summer. Im super girlie and Ive dreamt about my wedding since I was young, so Ive already been wedding dress shopping!
Helen is currently off-screen as Rosie headed abroad to star in a gameshow after being scouted by an agent following an appearance on This Morning – an exit storyline that only a character like Rosie could get! It is understood that Helen plans to return to her role after her maternity leave.
