Phil Mitchell is going to be getting handy with his fists tonight when a row with his wife Sharon and her secret crush Keanu Taylor gets out of hand in EastEnders. After Dennis Rickman reacts with fear when they pass members of the gang who tormented him, Phil later discovers what went on.
Raging at Keanu for keeping him in the dark, he drags him back to the house and demands answers from both him and Sharon about why they never told him. As Sharon responds that she knew Phil would react badly and make things worse, he has a go at her, prompting Keanu to step in and defend her.
This sends Phil over the edge and, after sacking Keanu on the spot, he launches an attack on him, punching him in the stomach and ranting at him. As Phil loses control, Sharon is forced to intervene – but will Phils violence push her into an affair with the younger man?

The attraction between the pair has been clear for some time now and viewers are just waiting for their temptation to boil over into passion. And with Phil not talking to Sharon in the wake of the showdown, Keanu offers to go for a drink with her.
With the option of spending time with her toyboy love interest far more tempting than going home to her moody and aggressive husband, will Sharon succumb to the invitation?
Later in the week, Sharon discovers that Phil has booked a trip to Spain and, believing that he is doing this to make up for his behaviour, she is relieved and plans a Spanish themed meal to thank him for the gesture.
But whether or not it goes to plan remains to be seen.
EastEnders airs Phils outburst on Monday 27th August at 8pm on BBC One.
