Saudi delegation in Argentina to discuss digital economy

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia is taking part in a high-level delegation led by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Amer Al-Sawah in preparation for the G-20 Summit in Buenos Aires at the end of this year.
The Kingdoms participation in the G-20 meeting of the worlds most powerful economies is particularly important for its active role in this group, which accounts for 80 percent of total world trade, about 90 percent of world GDP and about two-thirds of the worlds population.
KSAs entry into this group is an international recognition of its great economic importance and its political and economic weight, making it one of the most developed and major countries in the world.
The Kingdom is proud to be part of this group to support international cooperation to bridge the digital divide, given the importance of digital transformation on the G-20 agenda as one of the pillars of the global economy.
A digital transformation program was launched in the Kingdom as a key element of the Vision 2030 agenda to diversify the economy away from dependence on oil, building a digital economy to create a vibrant environment, prosperous economy and better future for the Kingdom.
