Ted Murrays loved ones could be in for some serious heartbreak tonight as his concealing of his angina leads to a sad turn of events. Since getting chest pains, Ted has hidden his diagnosis so as not to worry Bernie Taylor and Patrick Trueman, who care deeply for him.
And as he puts a hefty tab behind the bar for his friends and also offers up a wad of cash to Bernie, its clear that there is an air of finality as he hopes that those he cares about can manage without him.
After Ted tells Bernie that she cant rely on him anymore, she takes his words on board and heads to her latest chess match without him. As the game gets underway, she is unaware of a series of urgent missed calls on her mobile.

By the time that she is alerted to them by Keegan Baker, she is thrown into a panic by the thought that Ted has been trying desperately to contact her. The Taylors all rush round to the pensioners flat.
But what will they find? Is it too late to save Ted?
