Conor Maynard told Metro.co.uk months ago that he planned to work with BTS – and now he has.

The singer has confirmed he has written a track for the K-pop group, which they have chosen to use, but he revealed his plans back in April to get in with the band.

When asked by Metro.co.uk if hed ever write for the band, Conor revealed hed been considering it after one of his writer pals encouraged him.

One of the guys I wrote with on my last album talked about doing it. If you get a cut on someones album they tend to use you again and again, and he was talking about us writing for them, he said.

Their views and streams are a absolutely insane. Every video BTS does they smash it.

When asked if they like K-pop, Conors brother Jack Maynard confessed: Theres one song I really like its the BTS designer one and its done by Steve Aoiki.

The BTS following is absolutely amazing.

Asked if theyd ever work directly with them, Jack, very seriously replied: I mean yes. They are really good.

And why I like them as well – years ago bands stopped dancing, Conor added. They just stood still. But K-pop bands are proper dancers. It got a bit cheesy years ago, like *NSync, but the K-pop bands are really really cool, and their videos are interesting to watch. And the fact theyre doing all those interviews but only one can speak English.

Today, Conor confirmed that he has indeed written that song with his pal and given it to the BTS lads, and now he eagerly awaits the release of Love Yourself: Answer to hear their version of it.

So since I see a lot of you tweeting about it.. basically I went in the studio with my friend and we wrote a song for @BTS_twt which we sent off, then a few weeks later he called me saying they were using it. I havent heard their version yet but I cant wait! he tweeted.

Love Yourself: Answer is out Friday, and the lads have been teasing the release by dropping a teaser for track IDOL, which would well be the lead track.

After just 12 minutes the video had already had 83,000 retweets and 119,000 likes on Twitter. In the teaser they give a nod to traditional Korean culture.

They recently revealed that the tracklisting will be split into two parts. In addition to the 11 songs of Tear, BTS have added tracks from Her, and remixes of Fake Love and DNA, and the Steve Aoki remix of Mic Drop. On top of that theyre treating the Army to seven brand new songs; Trivia: Just Dance, Trivia: Love, Trivia: Seesaw, Im Fine, IDOL and Answer: Love Myself, as well as Jins solo Epiphany.

They also announced they will be taking part in several promo shows to launch the new record, with Big Hit Entertainment confirming they will be popping up on Korean shows to share their new work with fans.

A statement from Big Hit said: They will have music show promotions for a week with their new music. The lads also have their world tour kicking off this week too.
