Michael Jacksons Thriller is no longer historys best-selling album of all time.

The shock. The horror.

Instead, the crown has been stolen by The Eagles Greatest Hits album.

The Recording Industry Association said The Eagles album, Greatest Hits 1971-1975, is a certified 38x platinum, meaning its sales and streams have reached a whopping 38 million copies.

The 1976 album eclipses Jacksons Thriller, which is a certified 33x platinum, relegating it to second place, the AP reports.

The RIAA added that the Eagles Hotel California, released in 1977 comes in third place with 26x platinum.

Don Henley, a founding member, said in a statement: We are grateful for our families, our management, our crew, the people at radio and, most of all, the loyal fans who have stuck with us through the ups and downs of 46 years. Its been quite a ride.
