Coronation Street has teased fans with the first look at Ben Price back where he belongs – filming with the Platt family. Viewers have been wondering what brings Nick Tilsley back to the show and when exactly it will occur and now it has been confirmed that the scenes are already well underway, meaning that he will show up this autumn.
As part of their occasional look behind the scenes, the Coronation Street Twitter account shared snaps from the set and one picture immediately caught the attention of fans. It showed Nick sitting with members of the Platt family and there has been quite the response on social media.
It still remains to be scene what Nicks return storyline will be but with Davids ordeal and the will they/wont they romance of Carla Connor and Peter Barlow, not to mention unfinished business with Leanne Tilsley, Nick has a lot of catching up to do and may well hit the ground running.
Alison King, who plays Carla, recently teased: Nick was the love of her life and he was the calm one. He is the calm grown up, the one that would have been good for her, and then there is Peter who couldnt be more different. There is a lot there to be explored, it will interesting to see what impact his return has…

In scenes about to air, Carla will put Peter to the test by making him interview a potential new machinist for Underworld who bears a striking resemblance to his late ex Tina McIntyre. And when Peter is then shot as part of the gang conflict targeting his son Simon, Carla will be forced to confront her feelings.
But any future for Peter and Carla may well be fleeting as Nicks return is bound to throw the cat among the pigeons…
