Marilyn Manson has thanked fans for their support after he was forced to cut a concert short due to health problems.

The 49-year-old rocker was performing on stage in Houston on Saturday night as part of The Twins of Evil: The Second Coming tour when he complained to the crowd that he was suffering from heat poisoning.

His condition appeared to worsen during his performance of a cover of The Eurythmics Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This when he was seen clinging onto the microphone before staggering backwards and collapsing in front of thousands of concerned concertgoers.

After Marilyn was assisted off stage, his co-headliner Rob Zombie attempted to salvage the rest of the gig.

My dear friend Mr. Manson is feeling under the weather. Hes probably on the bus feeling like crap.

I need a partner for the next song so lets sing it really loud and make him feel better, Zombie told the crowd before delving into his rendition of Beatles classic Helter Skelter.

Thanks Houston for being understanding, the Sweet Dreams hitmaker told his 1.1million followers. I ended up in doctors care, but I gave it my best and you guys were amazing.
