Sally Metcalfe decides to do some matchmaking for her daughter Sophie Webster in Coronation Street – but little does she realise where it is heading as it is actually her own much older best mate Paula who is set to end up getting close with her daughter!
In a bid to take Sallys mind off of her ongoing legal battle to prove her innocence in the wake of Duncans claims of fraud, Paula takes Sally out along with Gina Seddon and the women enjoy a laugh, plenty of drinks and lots of catching up.
As Sally enjoys letting her hair down, Paula reveals that her daughter has recently split up from her girlfriend and Sally enthusiastically suggests that they could set her up with Sophie. But down the line, sparks will end up flying between Paula and Sophie.
As an attraction forms, Sally will be aghast by the age gap as the pair embark on a relationship – but could the feelings be genuine between the pair? And will the trouble over Sallys dismay towards them lead to her legal situation getting worse as tension rises between herself and Paula?

Lets face it, Sally has a lot more to worry about than who her daughter is sleeping with given that she could end up in prison if Duncans lies are believed. And when a mobile phone stashed (or rather, planted) in Sallys guttering is found and Gina then makes the mistake of suggesting they get rid of it, things get even worse.
Will Sally soon be forced to disapprove from the comfort of a prison cell?
