Get your knife and fork ready because the Hermidale Hotel are supporting the Parma for a Farmer campaign, donating money from each parmigiana sold to help communities ravaged by drought.
The quintessential pub favourite has been charming Australian taste buds for decades, and now the parma is on the menu at hundreds of pubs and clubs who are donating $1 from every parmigiana sold to help drought-stricken communities.
Owners of the Hermidale Hotel Stacey and Michael Wells-Budd said living in a remote community heavily affected by drought, they wanted to help out any way they could.
The Hermidale Hotel have decided to not only take part in the initiative, but are going one step further donating $5 for every parma sold between August 20 to 30.
Were hoping the Nyngan and Cobar communities can come for a drive down the road, and have a parma for their local farmer.

“We decided to do Parma for a Farmer as theres a lot of NSW venues, especially in the city, that wanted to donate to help our farmers,” Mrs Wells-Budd said.
“Because we are living in a very drought affected area and we have a family property, both of us know first hand how difficult it is at the moment and wanted to help our neighbours, we have increased our donation to $5 for every parma sold.”
Mr and Mrs Wells-Budd are not only using the parma to raise money for farmers, but for every main meal sold between August 20 and 30 an extra $1 will go to Rural Aid for Buy a Bale.
“We would like to reach $2000, which is equal to 10 large bales of hay,” Mrs Wells-Budd said.
“Were hoping the Nyngan and Cobar communities can come for a drive down the road, and have a parma for their local farmer.”
