Music video director Joseph Khan has ignited the wrath of BTS fans after sharing a picture of BTS and accusing all of the band members of having plastic surgery.

The self-declared King of Trolling, shared several tweets about Asian men using plastic surgery.

They all have plastic surgery. They are all wearing lipstick. This is what Crazy Rich Asians actually look like, Kahn tweeted.

The tweet garnered a lot of criticism from BTS fans who found it offensive.

Re-sharing his original tweet, he commented: Asian Americans: STOP FEMINIZING OUR MEN. ASIANS ARE MACHO TOO. Asians: YOU NO WEAR LIPSTICK? WHY?

Kahn also shared a story from South China Morning Post, which quoted Dr Lee Hyun-taek, a head surgeon and founder of Banobagi Plastic Surgery, a clinic in Gangnam, as he said: In the past, Korean men used to get plastic surgery to become more masculine, but now men have become interested in cosmetics [such as BB cream and skincare] and see the appeal [in looking more androgynous].

Lee continued that they were searching for the pretty boy look: They want to have face shapes and looks like idols or celebrities. More men are pursuing more feminine looks than before, and mens cosmetics and plastic surgery trends are heading in this direction.

Khan, who has worked with the likes of Backstreet Boys and Taylor Swift, remains unapologetic about his tweets, as he wrote: In this day of people being offended and dogpiling each other for the slightest infraction, its important to remind everyone of one basic universal message: suck a dick.

But fans were incensed, and quickly hammered the music director.

Well first dont insult when youre trying to ask a question. That only sets off Armys. If you asked maturely we would have too. To answer your question. We “spam” because haters want our attention. And theyll get it. So why not promote while were here? a fan wrote in response.

While a dedicated fan refused to believe the possibility, as they said: Its fake news, the music artists in the picture have never touched plastic surgery. Hes just using it as a drag for no reason.
