It was a beautiful afternoon that greeted the Augusta Margaret River Year 10 Hawks team in Collie for their game against the Collie Eagles over the weekend.

The visitors were flying high on the back of an emphatic win against the Bunbury Bulldogs at Gloucester Park last week.

The AMR boys started the game slowly, with Collie going into the second quarter in the lead.

That situation soon changed, with Augusta Margaret Rivers Lachlan Allan playing the game of his life.

Allan out-rucked, scooped, marked and ran all over the Collie players in what was a great display of football and teamwork.

Hawks Oscar Armstrong, Jayden Williams and Kade Dittmar all fired hard with fantastic runs through the midfield.

It was a very tough and physical game with AMRS Ben Poggi and Sam Robins working overtime to keep the Collie boys at bay.

Jacques Fabre and Blake Muller produced some hard and fast tackles leaving the Collie opposition stunned.

As the scoreboard increased so did the pace of the game with Banjo Watkins and Oscar Armstrong adding multiple major scores to their tallies.

With nine individual goal scorers across the Augusta Margaret River team, Collie didnt have a chance to catch the powerful Hawks side on this occasion.

Lachlan Murray was sensational along with Max Blount in the backline holding Collie to just six goals.

Final scores were Augusta Margaret River Hawks 14. 15. 99 to Collie Eagles 6. 4. 40.
