A third Inbetweeners movie may not officially ever happen, but new movie The Festival might just work as a half decent replacement.

Joe Thomas, who played Simon on the hit E4 show, will be playing another hapless and unlucky-in-love drop out for the new movie.

After breaking up with his girlfriend at graduation and making a fool out of himself in front of his whole uni, his mates pack him up and take him to a music festival.

What results is a whole heap of awkward social interaction as he struggles with the rules of getting muddy and dirty for three days.

Soon hes found himself in someones car, covered in blue paint, and getting weed on as he tries to make his way through the crowds.

Created by The Inbetweeners team, the film trailer alone promises all the gross-out and relatable comment that you need to fill the gap the show left.

Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords also appears on the show, alongside Joes real-life fiancé, Hannah Tointon.

Nick Frost and Noel Fielding also make appearances – so you know its going to be everything you need for a weird AF summer movie.
