Coronation Street spoilers: Kayla Cliftons dark secret is revealed tonight

Craig Tinker is on Cloud 9 as he grows closer to bubbly waitress Kayla Clifton in Coronation Street tonight but its all too good to be true as the soap is set to confirm the truth about her dark secret for the first time in dramatic scenes.

Viewers know from a collection of released spoilers and images from filming that Kayla is the daughter of rapist former policeman Neil, who was jailed for attacking Bethany and being a part of the sex ring led by Nathan Curtis.

Craig and Bethany were instrumental in bringing him down as Bethany bravely spoke out against him and Craig engineered a confession out of him. When they both then stood up to him in court, his fate was sealed but now he has lodged an appeal and is determined to wriggle out of justice.

Kayla fully believes in her father and has made it her mission to get to know more about Craig and Bethany in order to find something that may help his case – but as Craig goes on a date with her tonight and she asks questions about what happened, he is completely oblivious to her true motives.

With Craig thinking that he has romance on the horizon, it seems likely that he is about to have his heart broken. And the situation will eventually become even more sinister when a desperate Kayla takes a frightened Bethany hostage.

Coronation Street continues on Thursday 21st June at 8pm on ITV.
