Amazon Prime has landed in Australia! Well, for some…

The all amazing Amazon Prime has dropped in Australia, well some of Australia.

The company has professed to offer the super-quick mailing service to 90 per cent of Australians.

For Amazon shoppers in Dubbo, Orange and Bathurst you get the Prime subscription option. If youre in Mudgee, Narromine, Parkes, Forbes, Young, Nyngan, Cowra and just about anywhere else, youre not so lucky.

For those of you playing at home Amazon Prime users will receive goods in two business days, the same subscriber rate offered to metropolitan users.

As for the rest, “more remote” locations will see their online order land in five days.

Amazon Prime launched on Tuesday, with the premium subscription costing shoppers $6.99 a month or $59 a year. The selected regional centres will have to pay $11.99 for two day delivery.

In May, Amazon blocked Australian shopping on its international sites, to protest being charged 10 per cent GST by the government.

Amazon Prime is available in Australia? Pls don't do this to me. I CAN'T AFFORD THIS.

The online-shopping giant will cease shipping to Australia on July 1, forcing shoppers onto the Australian website, which features significantly less products.

On Tuesday, the retailer announced next-day “priority” delivery would be available for an additional $9.99 in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Canberra.

More remote customers will receive their priority shipping within five days.

Jamil Ghani, vice president of Prime International at Amazon said that the current offering does not rule out tailoring services more effectively for each country.

"This is just the beginning for Prime in Australia, as we will keep making Prime better, adding even more selection and benefits," he said.
