Robbie Williams has got a bit of history when it comes to hell-raising – just look at the bleach blond hair back at Glasto 96. (You know what were getting at with that one.)

Well, it seems that Robbie was feeling in another risqué mood during the opening ceremony of the 2018 World Cup as he decided to flip the bird at the whole planet.

Having managed to create quite the show already – which received er… quite the reaction – the 44-year-old Angels hit-maker was caught swearing mid-performance in the Luzhniki Stadium, Russia.

And, if you think you missed it you might well have done, because he only did it once and towards one camera only.

Skipping up to one camera in a nonchalant manner, in his slinky red leopard-print suit, the graying pop star cheekily popped his middle finger up for a moment and then waltzed off.

Unfortunately for Rob the camera happened to have the FOX network streaming its view – so the whole of the United States (and anyone else in the world watching the network) saw it.

But why would he do that? Well, thats exactly what social media users were asking themselves.

Perhaps too cheeky! (Picture: Twitter/Fox)

It couldnt have been about the backlash that hes received for performing at the controversial World Cup (many people arent happy that Russia has been allowed to host it), as that mostly started to leak out while he was performing.

Perhaps he was just annoyed at the camera man?

Regardless, we saw it Robbie – and you have some explaining to do!

Swearing isnt the worst thing he could have done, but with the former Take That star supposedly being lined up for a role on the family friendly X Factor it might prompt questions regarding his suitability for such a high-profile and influential role.
