Margaret River hockey girls hold firm at top of ladder

This Year 9-12s Girls Team solidified their place at the top of the ladder this Friday night, winning against Countrys in a hard fought match.

Countrys have dominated this age group for some years now and have beaten the Margaret River girls time and time again in the past four seasons.

But Friday night brought the trend to an end with the Margaret River girls defence mounting an impenetrable back line and the forwards breaking through for the single goal which sealed the match win.

Ashlee Jarvis scored the goal in the second half and we go through to the second round of the competition without a single goal scored against us in the season so far.

Well done girls – doing your families, your coach and manager and your town proud each and every week. We love how you support each other out on the turf.

The Civic Video Player of the Match was Larissa Wilkes.

Our Thanks to Team Sponsors Priceline Margaret River and Club Sponsors Yahava, Dominos Margaret River, and Lions Club Margaret River – the support is an invaluable investment in the future of our players and our club.
