The time is now …

Kanye West and Kid Cudi have debuted their joint album Kids See Ghosts at a pretty intimate listening party in LA.

This comes after Kanye brought out a star-studded crowd to Wyoming last week including his wife Kim Kardashian, Jonah Hill and Chris Rock for his solo album Ye – but now he has chosen a simpler and more humble approach with his latest listening party.

The 40-year-old rapper joined forces with his protege Kid Cudi for their new project and although the record is yet to drop on streaming services, fans were able to access the event by tuning into an official broadcast on the WAV app.

Kanye and the 34-year-old Cleveland-native were surrounded by dozens of people as they enjoyed the debut of their seven-track album in a bonfire themed event.

According to Pitchfork, the record is an eclectic effort that sees Kanye riffing on The Handsmaids Tale, while another early track offers an appearance from Pusha T.

The event was so low key that there was no sign of Kim being there and we know Kim rarely turns down a big bash after she arrived to attend the Ye album listening last week in Wyoming at the Diamond Cross Ranch in Jackson Hole.

Although last week things didnt go to plan turn after the listening party as the Owners of the Wyoming ranch have banned any more rappers from hosting events there.

Yikes!

Jane Golliher, who operates the Diamond Cross Ranch in Mohan, Wyoming, told The Blast that it was great exposure hosting the event, but admits it was the most confusing booking theyve ever had.

Describing the experience as a learning curve, Golliher revealed the plans changed every 30 minutes. But what do you expect when you work with one of the biggest pop stars of recent times? The man demands perfection.

Eventually, the party took place outside and was so loud that it immediately triggered complaints from local residents.

Tecton Countys strict noise ordinances require all sound after 10pm to stay below 80 decibels, The Blast reported.

But Yeezys shindig reportedly rocketed up to 120 decibels. Not cool, Kanye.

Apparently, the party was supposed to end by 10pm, so it wouldve been fine. Obviously, Ye didnt show up until 9.30pm.

According to reports, Gollihers husband got so agitated that he threatened to pull the plug on the music – with thousands of people watching via online stream back home.

As a result, there will be no more rappers invited to stay at the ranch, despite her intentions to hold a day concert with good music – were assuming she doesnt mean Kanyes star-stuffed record label of the same name…

The ranch operator also revealed she undercharged massively for the event, stating she should have priced the package at $50,000 (£37,200).

As for the trouble with the locals? Golliher says thats what you get with people from California and L.A.
