In the world of high-end fashion, anything goes.

Stick a designer label on it and even the most suspect of designs becomes art.

Just look at Balenciaga.

The Basque luxury fashion house is no stranger to creating ugly statement pieces; it was, after all, responsible for the current ugly trainer craze.

And now its turning its attention towards menswear – specifically shirts.

For £1,085 you can buy a lovely double shirt. Yes, thats a striped short-sleeved number with a long sleeved shirt sewn on top.

Balenciaga claims that the design offers wearers two wearing options – you can either wear the long sleeves as a bizarre front panel design, or as a fake double layer (although quite how convincing that would look is anyones guess).

And if youre after a more casual look, then the brand also offers a £935 t-shirt shirt, this time with a full shirt stuck onto a t-shirt.

Again, Balenciaga claims it has two wearing options…so presumably you could also wear the long sleeved shirt and have a t-shirt hanging from your back. A look and a half, Im sure youll agree.

Needless to say, the design is confusing the ignorant masses who are yet to understand fashion the way designers do.

But Balenciaga isnt the only house on that two-shirt hype – Vetements (both houses share Demna Gvasalia as their creative directors) has also launched a double-shirt.

When youre wearing so many shirts, you obviously need a huge jacket to cover them up.

Fortunately, as one person points out, Balenciaga has that covered too.

Ah, fashion.
