Frightened Rabbit cancel The First Incident festival following tragic passing of Scott Hutchison
Frightened Rabbit have decided to cancel their one-day festival in Glasgow following the tragic passing of Scott Hutchison.
The band announced this evening that they have decided to pull the plug on The First Incident, which they were organising and curating.
Due to play their biggest headline show to date at the event, which was to be held at the Galvanizers Yard in the city, the band decided to call off the event following the musicians death earlier this month.
Releasing a short statement on their Twitter account, the band wrote: Weve made the decision to cancel The First Incident on June 1st.
Some people have said that theyd like to donate their ticket cost to charity. If this is something youd like to do we would ask that you donate to @SAMHtweets in Scotts memory: https://www.samh.org.uk .

The band included links to the Scottish Association for Mental Health account, asking fans to donate ticket costs to the charity in Scotts memory if they so wished.
It comes not long after a mural of the guitarist and song-writer was unveiled in the city as a lasting tribute.

Earlier this month the 36-year-old went missing on 9 May after posting a troubling tweet.

Two days later a body was found near South Queensferry in the hunt for the Scott, before Police Scotland identified the body found as Hutchisons.
Scott was celebrated for being open about his struggles with his mental health in his music, with the star talking about being consumed by the negatives in an interview
