What Meghan’s Second Dress Had in Common With Oprah and Amal
Oprah Winfrey and Amal Clooney may have rocked up in Stella McCartney at the Royal Wedding but that didn't stop Meghan Markle from wearing the designer for her second dress on Saturday.
While she opted for Givenchy for her ceremony, as some predicted, she wore another British designer for her big day.
"We got our prediction right almost! I told the New York post on Wednesday I was certain Meghan would wear Stella McCartney and now she has!" Wedding dress designer Caroline Castliano exclaimed. "Stella MaCartney designed Meghan's evening gown – a simple crepe halter neck dress, backless – alluring and sensual."
Stella used organic fabrics and with her ethos being the same as Meghan, it makes so much sense that the new Duchess of Sussex teamed up with her.
"Meghan set the tone of her dress absolutely right again tonight, it was exactly her in the style she loves which is a clean and understated dress. Meghan regularly wears a high neckline and it's a style that really suits her," Caroline continued.
"This is the first time in long time we've seen a royal wearing a more fitted gown to her wedding and this certainly expresses how modern Meghan is.
"Meghan is making her mark fashion wise alongside Kate and Diana and is looking a million dollars to join the Royal Family!"
