Belconnen coach Melinda Clarke said: “It wasnt an easy win. We were able to sustain our pressure and the girls worked really hard defensively.
"In the third quarter we really started to capitalise on our possession. That pressure enabled us to get up to a six-point lead in the third quarter which proved to be the difference on the night.
"Maintaining this pressure defensively will be important leading into round four against South Canberra who
will be looking for their first win of the season. There are no easy games in this competition.”
