RIYADH: The Saudi Embassy in Amman on Monday held a workshop to study the strategic dimensions of the recent visit of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the US.

The deputy head of the mission, Mohammed Al-Ateeq, said the aim of such events is to support and enhance the Kingdoms vision and to strengthen diplomatic and political ties with other countries.

Faisal Al-Raffou, a former minister and professor at Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II College for International Studies, said the visit and the warm welcome accorded to the Saudi crown prince indicated the strategic strength of the Kingdom and its status as a regional power, and the crucial role it plays in the region.

The crown princes visit, he said, helped expose the Iranian regime and its nefarious designs in the Arab world. Former Jordanian parliamentarian Dr. Mohammed Al-Qatasha lauded Saudi Arabias leading role in the Arab region and its efforts to protect it from the Iranian incursion.

Dr. Nabil Al-Atoum said the vision of Saudi Arabia through direct contact with the US leadership worked to contain the Iranian influence in the region.

Abdel Nasser Al-Moudaid, an expert of Yemeni political affairs, praised Saudi Arabias efforts in restoring Yemens legitimate government and in alleviating the sufferings of Yemeni people.
