Post Malone breaks streaming records as Beerbongs & Bentleys tops Billboard 200 chart

Post Malone has broken streaming records with his second album Beerbongs & Bentleys.

The singer smashed the Billboard 200 album charts, making his debut at number one, and setting a new record with most streams in a week.

On its release the record opened with 461,000 total copies sold, which accumulates to 288,000 streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

And thats not all, tracks from Beerbongs & Bentleys were played over 431 million times according to Nielsen Music, crushing previous records such as Drakes More Life, which gained nearly 385 million streams.

Posts release marked the best sales week on Billboard 200, topping Taylor Swifts platinum Reputation.

The album was destined to do well as on its first day of release it had already flown to the number one spot on Spotify, boasting a record breaking 47,930,039 US streams and 78,744,748 worldwide.

His debut album, Stony, currently sits at number four in the same charts, which contains classic tracks such as White Iverson, Congratulations and I Fall Apart.

Although the 22-year-old is yet to comment on his latest grand success, he was vocal on Twitter ahead of the release date when he decided to prank his fans.

On the morning that Beerbongs & Bentleys was coming out, Post told his followers that there had been a delay with its release.

He wrote: Sorry to announce to all my fans that theres been complications with the album and it wont be released tonight.

Im so sorry to all my fans and I didnt mean to let you down again…

But the rapper couldnt keep up with his joke as moments later he put his fans minds to rest by writing: JK LOL MOFOS 20 MINUTES TURN THE FUCK UP.
